A precious view into our daughter's life

Love Without Boundaries is an organization that provides Foster Care programs and Nutrition programs to select children in select orphanages in China. This organization has had Lulu under their care and provided her with safe, good nutrition and a foster family as she waits. Today, we got a rare glimpse into Lulu life in China. She is the feature story in their September newsletter.
Her story starts on page 4. They give all the children alias' to protect them, she is known as "Emily". This is a sweet memory for her to have in her future, but today I'm crying for her most obvious pain when she will leave this family to come to us. May God grant me the strength to endure, and wisdom to know what to do and peace in the process, when we meet.
Please pray for this family and Lulu.

Growing up in pictures...

It's amazing to see she's grown so much just this summer. I'm so glad we leave soon, because I really don't want to miss any more of her growing up.
These are some great pictures we received yesterday! One just by chance, was a picture in a newsletter that I read and recognized her. I did confirm that it's her with the organization. We also received some new bits of info we did not know before. Like she can wave bye, bye and blow a kiss. She's a real charmer! They describe her as a clever child who will call you mama if she really wants something. She knows how to pluck at the heart strings too. We can't wait to meet her, of course!

First Celebrations!

We were so blessed to be able to celebrate LuLu for the first time on Friday! To be surrounded with people who have helped to bring her home, and look forward to her coming home almost as much as we do, was so precious. When everyone sang Happy Birthday to her, I couldn't help but shed tears. Tears over the joy that she brings to us already, and tears over the gladness that the sorrow of many years has passed. Tears of thankfulness to God our Father for entrusting us with her, and this most amazing gift! Praise God for his blessing and saving grace!
